I’m so annoyed.
There’s a small notebook somewhere in my house that has notes and scribbles for the book I hope to start in a few weeks after my current one is done. And, I can’t find it.
Granted, I remember most of what’s inside, so maybe there’s nothing significant in the notebook that would make or break the story. Really, there’s no reason why I couldn’t go ahead and write the book without it. But. What if there’s one tiny smidgen of information–some little thought or direction or character fact–that holds the key to the entire manuscript and makes it come full circle? What if I can’t write the book because losing this notebook bugs the living snot out of me, huh, what then?
