We’ve been crazy busy lately so I broke my blogging streak of three posts a week. Darn. But I’ve been productive otherwise so I’m cutting myself some slack. Somewhat.

Anyway, here’s what’s been going on in my life for the past nine days:

1.) Cooper was home for spring break last week so on Thursday, we grabbed my dad and spent the day in Gettysburg, PA! Our first stop was the gorgeous, gorgeous visitor’s center where we watched A New Birth of Freedom and saw the Gettysburg Cyclorama Painting, both very awesome. Then we purchased a 3.5 hour audio tour that we followed in my Jeep before heading home. All in all, a great day!

2.) Last weekend’s Team SCBWI Spring Conference in Buckeytown, Maryland! Total success. We had a fantastic turnout with great speakers so I walked away with a renewed spirit plus a hefty dent in my wallet from buying too many books. Plus it’s always lovely getting to spend time with my As The Eraser Burns co-bloggers, Susan Detwiler and Susan Mannix.

3.) Cooper had to go back to school on Sunday, sniff, but Broc came home later that evening since his was just starting, yah!

4.) Cooper didn’t have any classes on Wednesday, so we picked him up from school and had a great time at the 2016 MBIA Builder Mart in Timonium, Maryland. Since Jackey has made me completely addicted to Videostar, I thought it’d be fun to capture odd moments of our day:

5.) And finally, I made some major progress with a women’s fiction novel that I hope to finish plotting before April 1st so I can write the draft while also working on The Glory Girls of Stockyard County. #unrealisticgoals #gonnatryanyway

This is the before:

Every inch is now covered with tons of scribbles and thoughts since there’s four main characters in this novel. Oh my.

Speaking of which, I better get back to work. Have a great weekend!
