Just Write. Conference on September 27th
Hey Marylanders and neighbors, the Harford County Public Library is having a writing conference on September 27, 2015 called Just Write!
From their website:
Successful regional authors will be leading workshops and discussion panels, working with local writers of all levels and genres. Participants will be able to attend five sessions lead by these established writers, and be guided through the process of beginning a writing project, editing the work, and getting the book read. Topics include how to write for specific audiences; improving your work; publishing options; keeping motivated; and other useful advice, tips, and tricks writers use to create works that get attention.
The $80 registration fee includes 5 workshop/panel sessions, lunch, & snacks. Manuscript critiques and small group session are additional. Pre-registration is required and begins August 17th. Space is limited and workshops will be offered on a first come first serve basis so register early for best choice. www.hcpl-justwrite.org
I will be leading two workshops:
Plotting Your Novel: Where Creativity Merges with OCD where I’ll discuss my deep devotion to Scrivener and the template I’ve created.
The Beauty of Reinvention: Restarting Your Writing Career which I’m super excited about since I’m now in the process of reinventing my own career … for the hundredth time … and I’ve certainly made enough mistakes to teach what not to do!
There will also be a panel (I LOVE panels!) plus opportunities to have your manuscript reviewed, so be sure to go to their website for more information or to register! Hope to see you there!
