Walt Disney World Half and Full Marathon Character, Support, and (real) Bathroom Stops

Marathon List

Has it really been November 20th since I’ve last posted? Yeah, my vow to renew my blogging bliss hasn’t exactly turned out as hoped, but THIS YEAR I will get my life back in balance and start posting on a regular basis!

yeah rightWhoa. Kind of harsh, there, Willy. But okay, fine, what if I said I would make a very genuine effort to post on a somewhat regular basis?

Dang. Really? Well, challenge accepted, Mr. Wonka! After all, I need to write recaps for the Tower of Terror 10-Miler and the Wine & Dine Half Marathon, (also known as Splash and Dash,) and next weekend, I will be running the Goofy Challenge at Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend! It was a last-minute decision after finding out my son’s surgery needed to be moved to June and since about forty of my running pals will be there, I’m beyond excited!

I’m also a tad nervous.

So nervous that this morning, I spent more hours than I care to admit composing a huge list of the character, water and PowerAde, food, medic tent, and real bathroom stops for both the half and full marathon. (Have I ever mentioned that I’m a complete and total over-planner, over-thinker, OCD mess? No? Well, yeah, I am.)

Anyway, I made this list to share with my running pals by using the runDisney 2015 Marathon Guide, park maps, watching videos such as this one and this one by Lee Hoedl, (his tips one is particularly awesome,) reading race recaps, and other informative posts such as this one at runwalkrepeat.com. My friends found it useful and are either laminating it or saving as screen shots for reference during the race so in hopes that this helps anyone else out there who has recently googled things like, “Disney marathon bathroom locations,” I’m posting the PDF file here as well:

PDF: WDW Half and Full Marathon Character, Support, and (real) Bathroom Stops

Please note this list is NOT perfect or exact seeing as how I’ve yet to run the half and full. Characters are subject to change and for some of the locations, I had to guesstimate, as well as the exact water stop locations. After the race, I’ll update the list so for now, use this as a rough guide. And if anyone sees a mistake or has more correct information, please leave a comment below!

I hope everyone has a total BLAST and stays healthy during Marathon Weekend!

Great info Laura, thanks for the shout out. I LOVE Lee’s videos, I always tear up. I am nervous about the full my first and well my ankle has been bothering me, but I will do my best to finish. Thanks for the handy reference sheet! Good luck this weekend!

Oh yeah, I woke up this morning to a panic attack over my fears of not training enough, not rolling enough, not being packed yet, not doing enough nutrition research, etc! But <<>> it is what it is and all I can do now try my very best. (And take lots of pain meds later!)

Hope you have a fantastic time! One of my goals this go around is to find that bathroom at TTC – I missed it last Princess! 🙂

Well… I know you survived your marathon weekend, so it’s now time to blog it! Don’t let Wonka be right!

Oh my gosh, I just saw this and laughed my rear off! Guess I’m already screwing up on of my New Year’s resolution to post consistently, huh? Somewhere Wonka is shaking his head with a disappointed tsk, tsk, tsk… 😉
