Happy Tuesday! Joining us in the shop today is Terri Clark, a Class of2k8 member and the author of Sleepless, a young adult thriller about Trinity Michaels, a dreamwalker who’s being stalked in her sleep by a killer.
If she dies in her dreams, she’ll die for real. To survive, she must stay awake and catch him before he can make her nightmares a grim reality and the only person who can help her is the last person she ever expected to team up with.
“SLEEPLESS calls to mind the Nightmare on Elm Street movie series. The action is just as fast-paced and heart-pounding as any adult thriller you will encounter. Ms Clark’s…written a real winner.” — 5 stars, TeensReadToo
So welcome, Terri! Grab some coffee, and let’s get down to the gossip.
Okay, what’s the most regrettable hairstyle you’ve ever had?
Ooh, I did the Sheena Easton short, short cut my first year of college.
What hair styling product can you not live without?
Conditioner. I condition my hair religiously.
What kind of hairstyle did you have in high school?
I rocked the 80’s big hair. Aqua net, baby!
Okay, time for your Hypothetical Questions of the Week:
HQ #1: You magically find a $100.00 bill in your box of cereal. In what frivolous way would you spend it?
I’d probably load the whole thing on my Starbucks black card. Can’t live without it!
HQ #2: You’re a big-time celebrity who just had a baby. If you were competing for the most bizarre celebrity baby name, what would it be?
Verdana Italics. Verdy for short.
HQ #3: You’ve been locked in a bank vault with that guy from The Twilight Zone, so you finally have time to read! What’s the first book you crack open?
I can’t wait to get my hands on the next House of Night book by P.C. and Kristin Cast. I’m in looooove with this series.
HQ #4: If you followed the career path you chose for yourself in high school, what would you be doing for a living now?
I’d be a teacher. I’m glad I’m not, but I do make school visits as an author and I enjoy those.
HQ #5: If you could go back in time and make changes to any of your published books, would you? Really, the only thing I want to change is the cover of Sleepless. It’s cute, but gives the wrong impression of the story. This cover says light and fluffy read and the story is actually scary and gritty. I’ve actually had a lot of readers make comments about this.
