The best $24.97 I’ve spent in a long time
I have seriously been loving Oprah and her Best Life Series. And now, I love Suze Orman.
Yesterday, I reluctantly ordered her FICO Kit Platinum. And when I say reluctantly, that’s because money is tight and I questioned whether the $24.97 is a necessary expenditure right now. But, seeing how 2009 is the year of change, thank God, I’ve been working hard to improve myself in all areas of life–fitness, health, career, home, faith and financial–so I went ahead and hit the purchase button.
It was so SO worth it.
I have to confess that I’m not as responsible for myself financially as I should be. (Not in spending–I’m very frugal.) My husband pays the bills–not because he’s the man and I’m a submissive dishrag, but because he’s better at it and you can only wear so many hats in a day. So, I had no clue what my current FICO score was. That’s bad. Very bad.
Enter the kit.
With it, I was able to get my FICO score and credit report for all three credit bureaus. One was great, two were good. But, after reviewing each report, I saw several mistakes on the TransUnion and Equifax, the ones with lower scores. Equifax even had my name spelled wrong. I mean, duh, how do you pronounce Larua? However, with a few clicks, I was able to type in my dispute and corrections, which was then printed out in a handy letter addressed to the credit bureaus. One signature, my SS# and a stamp later, I was able to mail those bad boys right away.
Easy peezy lemon squeezy.
There’s also a bunch of other goodies included with the kit. So, I apologize for sounding like an infomercial, but if you’re in the dark about your credit like I was, I highly recommend buying this! The website says $49.95, but until January 22, 10:00 pm, you can buy it for $24.95 by following this link.
And today, I get to FINALLY write a scene that I’m so, so excited about! I love, love, love wedding scenes, especially when they are a total disaster.
