Don’t you love it when you stumble across interesting facts while during book research?
Here’s a good one: For those of us who are old enough to remember Captain Kangaroo, did you know that Captain Kangaroo (aka, Bob Keeshan,) began his career as being the first Clarabell the Clown on “The Howdy Doody Show?”
Honk your sweet horn ‘Yes’ if you knew that, or your sour horn ‘No’ if you didn’t. And if you have no clue what that meant, then The Howdy Doody Show was way before your time as well, and you’re also not familiar with the phrase, “Say kids, what time is it?”
Now . . . I wonder what Mr. Green Jeans did before Captain Kangaroo? He was always my favorite. Him and Moose.
