Happy Friday, everyone!
Since I’m prepping for next Tuesday’s May Mid-Grade Madness, I thought I’d read these fabulous books this week to help get me in mid-grade mode!
See you at Harry’s, by Jo Knowles.
Oh my gosh, I love this book. Love, love, LOVE! It’s heartbreakenly beautiful and completely captivating all rolled up in one gorgeous package. I couldn’t put it down!
Lulu and the Brontosaurus, by Judith Viorst.
Again. Love, love, LOVE!! This is more chapter book than mid-grade, but whatever. It was just the right book for me to read this week, because it was a reminder how wonderfuly simple can say so much more than overblown and complicated!
Love, Ruby Lavender, by Deborah Wiles
*Sigh* I could read this book again and again and again and never get tired of it! Love Ruby. Love the chickens. Love Miss Eula. Love, love, LOVE it!
Okay, and now it’s time to kick some serious to-do list bootie because next Tuesday, I’m starting our 72-hour write-a-thon! Wish me luck and have a GREAT holiday weekend, everyone!
I don’t read a lot of MG, but I’ve heard a lot of great things about SEE YOU AT HARRY’S so will definitely check that one out! 🙂
