The end has come. The world is in shambles. Everyone is gone…except for the dogs!
Brownie and Apollo are two dogs living in bliss with a big, comfy couch to laze on. But unbeknownst to them and seemingly overnight, the world has turned to utter chaos. What they do know is their owners are MIA, they are starting to get on each other’s nerves, and it’s dinner time. What has happened? Who will feed them? What if their people are gone for good?!
With bellies rumbling, Brownie and Apollo decide to set out into the wide world, where they discover other pets and stray animals who have been left behind. But not everyone is man’s best friend. It’s a dog-eat-dog world now! With the help of a friendly neighborhood police dog and a small but mighty side-kick tick, Apollo and Brownie must figure out how to survive these dark times and locate their ultimate goal: dinner!
“It’s The Walking Dead with dogs. It’s funny, action packed, and now my dogs know how to survive the apocalypse. I look forward to reading Brownie and Apollo’s further adventures!” —Dan Santat, author of The Adventures of Beekle: An Unimaginary Friend
“Uninhibitedly wacky . . . A potent combination of unhinged energy and poignant sentiment.” —Publishers Weekly
Ages 8 – 12 years

Day 5 of my #4amchallenge complete!! #livingmybestlife #yoga #livehappy #beinspired
It wasn’t a good week for me to take on a tough #4am #challenge since I’m dealing with business stress, negative situations, and my youngest son is moving out today. But then again, when is it a good time to improve your life? Only when the stars align in a giant thumbs up, giving you the go ahead? No. The time is NOW and while I’ve had some stumbles adjusting to a new schedule, the benefits have been amazing! Like this morning. After chatting with Bob, #meditation and #journaling I listened to my body and did #yoga on our back deck rather than #Liift4 in our basement and a run. We’ve lived here for over 20 years and this is the first time I’ve tried this? Really? It was the perfect way to start my day, so I’m going to continue with a #4amwakeup and see where it takes me! https://www.instagram.com/p/BnJe2reFptY/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1xegu76zb49ql
My big guy is back at college! Miss him already but I’m so proud of how hard he’s working to reach his goals and it was awesome spending time with him at the beach! ❤️ #wvu #forestry #lovemyboy #family #love #ocmd #oceancity #boardwalk (at Ocean City Boardwalk)
Success!! I’ve been on a hunt for paperbacks from the Cedar Cove series by @debbiemacomber in used book stores for years. (Why used paperbacks? Because I love reading them at the beach. Why not order online? Because finding in person is like discovering lost treasures.) The first in the series, 16 Rainer Drive has been a challenge until my mom found this at Goodwill, woo-HOO!! Now to find the remaining few and my series is complete. #amreading #books #bookstagram #bookworm #reader #lovebooks #beachreads
